What's on For 2010?

Whats on: Nillumbik HomeBiz Network Events

The aim of the Nillumbik HomeBiz Network is to facilitate home based business people to get together, share ideas and knowledge, network, inspire each other and access professional development opportunities relevant to the home business sector. We run monthly nightime meetings, breakfast meetings and other special events.

Network meetings (evenings) attract up to 50 people, are always friendly and informal and take the form of a guest speaker, workshop or panel discussion followed by the chance to mingle and chat over a light supper. These are held the 3rd Thursday of each month.

Breakfast meetings in Hurstbridge attract between 6-12 members, and are a chance for a more intimate discussion of business issues and challenges.  These are held alternate Wednesdays.
Business Breakfast Meetings in Eltham attract anything up to 30 participants. These are open to the wider community as well as HomeBiz members. Each meeting will revolve around a theme with a guest speaker. There will also be opportunity to meet and chat with other business owners. These are held the 4th Tuesday of each month.

Business Lunch Meetings in Kangaroo Ground and Warrandyte - see below for more detail. These lunch meetings are informal and a chance for people to meet other HomeBiz members who may have similar business issues.

Below are HomeBiz events coming up.

We have all heard the story about the risk taker who made it big time. Isn’t going out on a limb the pathway to profitable growth?

Risks are inherently attached to opportunities. And every threat is attached to an exponentially bigger opportunity. Let’s face it, there is money in anything that is hard for others to follow so excel at acting upon risk and grow. In this interactive workshop facilitated by Daryl Brooke you will learn how to how to use opportunities to identify risk, assess and prioritise, and plan appropriate action.

Daryl Brooke from One Tree Hill Consulting specialises in helping small business owners in Nillumbik reach their business dream. Now based in Hurstbridge he was the founding President of the Nillumbik HomeBiz Network and has worked with many owners of home based business.
